Board of Directors 2007-2008 : DEXIA

Mrs. Margaret George – ChairmanMrs. Margaret George – Chairman, An Agriculturist by profession, Mrs George is the holder of a BSc degree in Agricultural Education (Hons.), and an Associate Degree in General Agriculture (Hons.). Mrs George brings to DEXIA her twenty-three (23) years teaching experience in selected subject areas in Agriculture at secondary and tertiary levels. Mrs. George has also been involved in social work and was the Manager of the National Pig Producers Association .

Mr. Cecil JosephMr. Cecil Joseph, is the longest serving Director, having served since 1992 has been returned to serve on the Board of Directors for another term. Mr Joseph, who is the Executive Secretary of the Dominica Hucksters Association, has had a very long involvement in the fresh produce export business, having held a previous position as a Marketing Manager of the now defunct Dominica Agricultural Marketing Board (DAMB).

Mr. Heskeith AlexanderMr. Heskeith Alexander, Mr Alexander has been a Director from March 2000. A former Minister of Agriculture, he brings to DEXIA a wealth of first-hand knowledge in the production and marketing of agricultural products. Mr Alexander is extremely devoted to the Buy Local campaign, forever championing the cause "grow what we eat and eat what we grow". Mr Alexander has served as the president of the Nature Island Pineapple Association (NIPPA)

Dr. Steve JohnDr. Steve John, A second-time member of the DEXIA family. He was first appointed to the Board in August 2000 for a period of two years and again for the second time around in March 2006. Presently, Dr John is the Director of the Dominica Bureau of Standards. He is the holder of a B.Sc in Technical Chemistry, a M.Sc in Chemical/Environment Engineering, and a Phd in Process/Chemical Engineering.

DEXIA BODMr. Colin Bully, The Executive Director of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Export Development Unit (OECS-EDU), and has been reappointed to serve another term on DEXIA's Board of Directors. Mr Bully's first appointment was in March 2005 to March 2006. Mr Bully has extensive knowledge in Agriculture, having served as a Technical Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture for a number of years.

Mr N.A.N DucreayMr N.A.N Ducreay, A former Minister of Trade, has served previously on DEXIA's Board of Directors in 1995. He bring to the Board his knowledge of trade coupled with his experience in the business of local produce, having been a major exporter of fresh agricultural Produce. Mr Ducreay is passionate about reviving the export sector and hopes that the enabling environment inclusive of reliable transportation arrangements can be put in place to aid the process.

DEXIA BODMr Floyd Capitolin, Serving his second term as a Director on DEXIA's Board of Directors, having first been appointed in March 2005. Having graduated in 2003 in Cuba with a B.Sc in Economics, Mr Capitolin worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade and Labour as Trade Officer from 2003 to July 2006. In August 2006, Mr Capitolin was assigned to the Office of the Honourable Prime Minister where he works as Special Assistant to the Honourable Prime Minister.

Mr. Billy SandersonMr. Billy Sanderson, An Exporter with vast work experience in Extension works, given his employment with the Ministry of Agriculture. His focus is on increasing export of Dominica's quality agricultural products, which only compliments DEXIA's vision of being the leading supplier of fresh agricultural products.
