One Laptop Per Child (OLPC)

This project was initiated on Dec. 03/2007 following a "60 Minutes" broadcast, where Mr. Nicholas Negroponte outlined his One Laptop Per Child programme. Championed by DAAS members Shirley Allan and IT Specialist, Frazer Jones, a fundraising drive was activated, starting with DAAS members.

The New Chronicle

The name “The New Chronicle” was mainly what the litigants desired. The paper has a history of almost 100 years, having first been launched in 1909 by the Catholic Church in Dominica. It was for many years the only publication, several others having come and gone over the period.
