Since 1997, The Dominica Export Import Agency (DEXIA) has adopted a "logical framework approach" to the development of its Work Programme.

Two core programmes: The Exporter Development Programme - Agriculture and Manufacturing - constitute the nucleus of the Export Development Programme.

The focus of these programmes is to enhance the export performance of both the agricultural and manufacturing sectors of Dominica by developing the capabilities of farmers, companies and exporters, strengthening their export competitiveness in regional and international markets.

This role is critical given the stage of development of our industries in Dominica, and the realities of globalization and trade liberalization.

The main activities carried out under this programme are facilitation services (processing of fruits, post harvest practices, quality assurance, and pack-house management), training, advisory services and development of business plans.
