Dasheen and hot pepper farmers, since 2007, have been given the opportunity to export container loads of dasheen and hot peppers to the US under DEXIA’s USAID-sponsored Caribbean Trade and Expansion Programme (CTEP).

The Dominica
Export Import Agency (DEXIA) in collaboration with the North-South Institute
(NSI), USAID, the Caribbean Trade Expansion Project and the Global Strategy
Group Inc. will host a two-day Agri-Enterprise Investment Profiles and Export
Opportunities Workshop for Small Farmers on Monday 19th May and Tuesday
20th May 2008 at the St Gerard’s Hall.

rice have been adjusted.
These increases have become
necessary as a result of substantial increases in the prices of both white and
parboiled rice on the world market.
The prices of all other commodities
remain unchanged.
